Fire is one major - important - first thing security issue you should aware of. We cannot live without fire nowdays, but we only need small amount and we must be able to control it. Otherwise, fire is your enemy!
Here are tips you should consider:
- Do not put combustible substance (eg. paint thinner, turpentine) near stove.
- Watch your electric outlet. Do you use a lot of extension cords or plugs there? Beware! Too many of these will increase the temperature and can cause short-circuit and they may start burning.
- Stop Smoking! (read our other articles). The cigarette might fall to you carpet or sofa and combust.
- Matches and Lighter should be placed in a safe place, out of reach from your beloved children.
- Again, tell and teach your child about the danger of fire!
- Purchase smoke/fire alarm. It cost nothing compared to the risk of not having one of them.
- Check your extension cords or plugs. Any damaged plugs can cause short-circuit and combust.
